UHP Technology Gives Longer Lasting Performance For Projector Lamps

!±8± UHP Technology Gives Longer Lasting Performance For Projector Lamps

If you have a projector, chances are that you have struggled with finding the projector lamp that will best suit your needs. You want a lamp that not only produces a great picture, but also will last for a long time. Fortunately, technology has created the ultra high performance (UHP) lamp, which gives projector owners the best of both worlds. They can get a lamp that performs as they want it to, and it also lasts longer than traditional lamps.

This technology gives users many things that they cannot receive with traditional lamps. First, they are able to achieve a level of brightness that had not been possible before, and they are able to do this with a compact size and design. These lamps are very powerful, but they are not bulky like some of their competitors. Because of this, users are able to get increased brightness with lighter and more mobile projectors, which can be very appealing to people who want to be able to easily transport their equipment.

Another benefit when using UHP lamps is that they allow your projector to run without making as much noise. If you have ever been disturbed by the noises that come from your projector, this could be the solution for you. Projectors have purer audio than television sets, but this can often be masked by the whirring noise that they make. Audiophiles can enjoy the pureness of sound that a projector offers without the distracting noises when they invest in a UHP lamp.

Also, they do not get as hot as traditional lamps, and that lack of heat is passed onto the projector itself. These lamps do not rely on as high of wattage in order to run, so they are able to stay cooler, which can keep problems such as overheating from occurring. That allows for the projector and the lamp to stay in better condition. Users do not have to constantly check the projector to make sure that it is cool enough, which is another benefit to this technology. Instead of worrying about the temperature of the projector, uses can concentrate on their movies.

This technology can also save people money. The technology allows for lamps to last longer. Because users do not have to spend as much money on replacement lamps, they are able to run their projectors for less money than those who own traditional lamps. Also, these types of lamps are less of a hassle. It can be frustrating when lamps do not last as long as they are supposed to, and that problem is dramatically decreased with these types of lamps.

If you are looking for a solution to your lamp problem, you might want to consider trying a UHP lamp. You will get to see a different kind of technology and you will discover the benefits of that technology first hand.

MZ-HANDYMAN dlp projector lamp adjustment accessible fix

First I must say do this at your own risk. This is simply something I tried that worked for me. I purchased a DLP projector for at the Flea Market then bought the chord for at a different booth. I knew it was burned out but figured it was worth the to mess with. I took the bulb out and sure enough the element was burned. I figured what do I have to loose... the element in the bulb looks like the skinny "E" string on a guitar and I just happened to have one piece I clipped off when stringing my guitar. I bent it as shown in the drawing in this video. after pulling out the old element but I didn't bend it into the point I just layed it across where it would be close enough to make contact. It seemed to solder itself in place once I turned it on. I played with the projector for 3 hours playing dvd's, videos, surfing the net and turning it on and off several times. If you feel this video saved you some cash, Send me a couple of bucks through paypal to manuelz@netzero.net Enjoy and clean the lense with a dry cloth before re-installing it! Mitsubishi Lamp Replacement for Enclosure 915P049010 Osram

Sponsored by: www.Discount-Merchant.com - "Your direct source for replacement lamps" - This is a video to show you how easy it is to replace your Mitsubishi lamp code 915P049010 lamp using an OEM Osram lamp. Your enclosure might say 915P04910(O150W). The 915P049010 is the part number and the O150W identifies the type of lamp used O = Osram and 150W obviously means it is a 150 watt Lamp or Bulb. Because the ballast can output 132W, we will be using a 132W 1.0 mm arc ASP Osram lamp. These TVs use the newer, vented lamp from Osram, which is quickly becoming a major competitor to Philips UHP lamp technology.

There are a several types of multimedia projectors on the market today. The major question is which projector you should buy? There are many brands and four major types of multimedia projectors.

Multimedia Projector Brands and Types

There are many brands of multimedia projectors to choose from: Panasonic, Optima, Epson, NEC, Infocus, and many more from which to choose. Multimedia projector types include:

Digital Light Processing (DLP): has deeper black background and more portable Liquid Crystal Display (LCD): better for color TFT (Thin Film Transistor) Active Matrix: a form of LCD HDTV home theaters: 480i, 516i, 540p, 720p, 180i, 1080p, 1080i, 1125i (i = interlaced video and p = progressive scan)

The major consideration is the purpose of the multimedia projector and uses in home or business; this will help you select the features you need. Features to consider include:

Image Brightness: range 130 lumens to 6500 lumens Desired Display Area 5 to 6 feet: 500 to 1000 lumens Desired Display Area 8 to 10 feet: 1000 to 1500 lumens Desired Display Area 12 to25 feet: 2000 lumens or more Wireless: remote operation from computer Digital Zoom: for large room projections Keystone Correction: compensates for projectors position not being perpendicular to the screen Slim Size: business portability Projector Mount: needed for permanent installations, ceiling or wall Bulbs: typical UHP, UHE, Halide lamps, 1000 to 4000 hours, chose long life Business Use: movie clips, animation, photos Home Theater: LCD, HDTV, high resolution, high contrast, brightness 1000 to 2000 lumens

Resolution is the number of pixels that the projector is capable of displaying. Projectors with greater the resolution produce a better quality projector image because there are more pixels per square inch. A projector with less resolution will have a grainier picture, since there are fewer pixels per square inch. Resolution comes in a variety of selections; your choice of resolution is based on your use of the projector.

For basic power point presentations only, you can use a low resolution projector. If you use a lot color and videos, you will need a high resolution projector. Projector resolution ranges from 854 x 480 to 1280 x 1024.

Contrast is the ratio between the lightest and darkest areas of a picture. You will want to select a multimedia projector with a contrast 400:1 or better. Contrast ranges from 350:1 to 6500:1.

Sony KDS-50A3000 - Excellent Value & Strong HD

!±8± Sony KDS-50A3000 - Excellent Value & Strong HD

Is a Plasma HDTV too high tech or an LCD HDTV too costly for you? A good alternative for large screen home entertainment with HDTV performance is a Rear projection HDTV like the Sony Bravia SXRD KDS-50A3000 503 1080p Projection HDTV. It costs about ,270 online which for a 50" HDTV is by far the cheapest option available! Also, it's a lightweight! Weight: 75 lbs or 34 kg.

The display quality is far better than a normal CRT (cathode ray tube) television. With the Sony Rear projection HDTV, you receive quality viewing pleasure, & a large 50" screen, & decently sized footprint, all for only a fraction of the price of a Plasma HDTV or an LCD HDTV! You can't hang it on the wall like the flat panel HDTVs but you can flush it into a modified wall opening because its about 14.5" thick/deep which is about double that of it slimmer & much more expensive cousins.

The KDS-50A3000 is powered by the renowned BRAVIA Engine and its 12-bit SXRD chip, which puts years of Sony research and manufacturing expertise to work in helping you enjoy your favorite films, TV programming and video games in stunning clarity and rich color. The KDS-50A3000 also features an advanced iris function for increased contrast and detail in even the darkest scenes, and x.v.Color technology to deliver more accurate color reproduction than common televisions.

The light source is a 120W, UHP projection lamp. Most manufactures rate UHP lamps for around 2000 hours (to half brightness) or about a year of heavy use. A replacement lamp for the KDS-50A3000 is user replaceable & at current prices, costs 9.99. Poor 480i-to-1080p video processing so buyers are recommended to use a good upconverting DVD player like the Pioneer Elite DV-79AVi for a far more detailed image from DVDs. Nonetheless, 1080i-to-1080p high-definition deinterlacing is satisfactory. It's good enough considering you are comparing it to flat panels more than double its price.

On Motion Processing, the Sony KDS-50A3000 is a 120Hz set that offers two features designed to minimize motion blur: Motion Enhancer and Motion Naturalizer. The KDS-50A3000 has good blacks, particularly with the Auto iris engaged. It's brighter than most Plasmas & has better blacks than most LCDs. Useful wider range of picture adjustments than most bargain flat panels. Overall, the KDS-50A3000 offer excellent value & strong HD performance for both color & resolution.

Some features of the Sony Bravia SXRD KDS-50A3000 503 1080p Projection HDTV:

o Screen size: 50-inch (diagonal)

o Projection System: Three-chip SXRD

o SXRD Panels: High Frame Rate Compatible 0.61-inch, 1920×1080

o Lamp: Ultra High Pressure, 120W

o Television system: NTSC, ATSC, QAM on cable

o Inputs: Three composite video (S-Video jack also available on Video 1 input only), two component YPbPr, three HDMI (Input 1 with L/R audio on HDMI), PC analog RGB on D-sub 15 pin connector, RF VHF/UHF antenna/cable. All of the inputs are easily accessible on an angled side panel.

o Other connections: TosLink optical digital and analog L/R audio outputs, PC audio input on stereo mini-jack, USB (service)

o Dimensions (WHD): 45.53 x 33.53 x 14.53
